[Meryl's face screws up, as if she'd sucked on a lemon. Friends, with Wolfwood? Maybe not quite. But Ain is making her a dress, her fate is in his hands. So she gives a little shrug.]

Y-you could say that. [Her laugh is off-kilter, and trails off awkwardly. Nice.]

That sounds great though! Just tell me where you want me. How you want me. Uh. You know. Whatever!

[Good thing Ain likes animated people or this would be real awkward! Thankfully, this giant deer man currently has all his supplies on him — well, er, a lot of them anyway, not his sewing machines and definitely not too many cloth bolts. But still.

Tape measure and notebook, though, yeah he has those. He will instruct Meryl how to stand and when to turn around, taking quick measurements through what she's wearing for comfort's sake.]

Do you prefer short dresses? Long? I guess the wedding is on the beach, though, isn't it? So you probably don't want something longer than about the mid-calf unless you want to scrub sand out of it.

[Despite being eager to have a dress, she didn't exactly think this through. There weren't many opportunities to dress up back home, not anymore at least, and it's been awhile since her college days. She worries her lip for a moment before finally picking something at random.]

Knee length! Thaaat's perfect for me! Definitely what I wear all the time!

[When he's done with the measurements, which won't take that long, Ain starts to scribble out the nebulous shape of a person, then a dress. Simple, sleek and black, not too form fitting but making sure to accent any curves. When he draws the lace, it's with a nebulous curled pattern and an arrow that says "lace" since this is only meant to be a quick example.

He'll let Meryl lean over and watch if she wants, or if she waits patiently, he'll turn the notebook toward her and show her what he has.]

All black. Lace up to the collar here, and nice short sleeves, and I'll make it with a stretchy and breathable fabric because the beach gets hot. The lace won't be too dense, so you won't be super itchy there either.

[Since she generally dislikes other people hovering over her, she gives Ain the same space in kind. It's only once the notebook is turned that she leans in. Her eyes swiftly dart over all the details, keen on not wasting his time.]

It looks good! [And it does. She just doesn't need to spend five minutes staring at his work to confirm that.] The fabric choice also sounds good. Not that I'm not used to the heat.
