[Wolfwood has been trying so hard to keep his own anxiety about doing this in check, so having to keep ADD’S in check at the same time is really putting his coping methods to work here. It is truly a miracle they’ve made it to the Grove and haven’t already screwed this up by breaking and entering or something.
Probably for the best they just came to the door first, because that sign speaks volumes. Wolfwood feels his shoulders sag, but the one silver lining is that the sign tells them without doubt that Ain is inside. They don’t have to waste time trying to find him.
But the downside…is that he’s inside. So.]
Yeah, I know.
[Seeing their nicknames again is salt in the wound. It makes Wolfwood’s confidence flag, if only briefly, wondering if this is salvageable at ALL…
But then he takes a breath, steels himself, and walks forward to knock on the door before moving back to stand beside Add again.]
[for sanity of not ruining this experience ain also has the windows shuttered so he does not see y'all coming
Anyway, yeah, he's pissed. He's so pissed that he's back here because he decided he needed to touch grass — real grass, not AstroTurf — before he blew up. Tending to the wisterias outside only moderately helped.
He's inside sewing when Wolfwood knocks, and there's an initially quite cheerful reply that he'll be right there, the sounds of clattering as he extracts himself from his work and trips over the table leg, Dachie barking... And then he opens the door and his smile completely falls, before Ain schools it back into place.
It does not reach his eyes. It is ice fucking cold.]
Wow... I guess Mr. Ancient and Mr. Priest can't read...? Haha. This had better be an emergency~.
[The nicknames don't bother Add as much since he's been dealing with that for three years now and name privileges are a newer thing for him... but it's taking a lot of willpower not to immediately turn tail and run. At least before, Ain wanted to see him. At least when it was Elsword, he had everyone's support, cheering him on and asking him to stay...
In a weird way, Wolfwood's presence is... comforting. They're both in this mess together. If Add tries to run, he'll no doubt drag him back. It helps a little to keep him grounded, both literally and figuratively.
He still flinches when Ain gives him that icy look, though.
Don't lose your nerve now. Add takes a breath, standing up straight.]
... We came here to apologize. We sorted out our differences, and... there's some things we need to talk about, so...
[It’s similar for Wolfwood, believe it or not. It’s a lot harder to deal with emotional turbulence by yourself, after all, but especially a situation that feels as dire as this one. Still, Wolfwood manages to keep his expression calm enough, his hands buried deep in his pockets as he inclines his head slightly.]
[He steps aside to let them both in, and once they enter the shop, Ain steps out to flip the sign to a proper "CLOSED" status, then locks the door as he re-enters. There aren't many places to sit in here — his chair at his table, and one in the corner where he normally has customers sit is rickety and wooden and old. The shop itself is small, and for Reasons that do not need to be elaborated on, the mannequins around are all missing their heads.
Ain sits down at his table again and continues working with a bundle of lightly-coloured chiffon, sewing a proper waistband into whatever pants he might be making. It's not that he's trying to work to ignore them or make everything worse, but rather a nervous need to keep doing something with his hands before his anxiety about this whole thing blows up in his face.]
But if either of you start going at each other in my shop, I will kick you out, and that'll be the end of it.
[Oh thank El they don't have to do this standing outside. Not that many people are in the Grove right now, but if he had to think about that possibility while navigating his emotions...
He'd rather just stand, so the lack of chairs isn't an issue. Dynamo converges at his back, like they're giving him a little supportive push... he shoots one more hesitant glance at Wolfwood before focusing back on Ain. It's now or never.
... Where do they even start? He considers waiting to let Wolfwood go first but... all of this started because of Add. Letting Wolfwood get the first words out wouldn't feel right. No, Add should be the one to do this. Finish what he started.
He was so stressed last night that he threw out all his attempts at a script, so hopefully he doesn't fuck this up immediately by trying to wing it.]
The truth is... I was jealous. I never really thought about it before, but finding out you were dating a bunch of people... I felt like I had to prove myself, or you'd get bored of me and move on. Wolfwood, Ezell... they're all better at this than I am. I struggled just admitting you're a friend, and I couldn't even tell how you felt about me... you made it sound so obvious, but I never even considered it.
I didn't know how to deal with it, so I lashed out. Wolfwood's the only one who took the bait, so I just kept pushing his buttons. If I could "prove" I'm better than him, then maybe...
... but I didn't consider your feelings at all. I was acting childish, like tearing down someone you liked would make me a better person, when all it really did was push you away. And it wasn't fair to Wolfwood, either. Even when I'd done nothing but provoke him, he was still trying to look out for me. [and he steals another glance at Wolfwood, a shred of embarrassed but sincere gratitude. Coming to the prison for him, what he said last night... it means more to Add than he knows how to express.]
I don't feel like I deserve to be here, but I... want to be able to stand by your side. I don't want to see you cry over childish things.
I'm sorry. To both of you. I want to do better for you.
[As they enter the tailor shop, Wolfwood does at least have to find a wall to lean against. Not to look like HE doesn’t care, but because his leg starts to get tired if he stands for too long without a break. There’s…something of a tense bout of silence as Ain moves to his table and immediately starts working again, prompting Wolfwood to share that glance with Add. He’s prepared to start, if need be, but after a few more moments pass, Add speaks up first. And…
What he says is genuinely surprising. Not only is what he says well thought out like he wrote himself a script beforehand, it’s genuine. He speaks directly from the source of the problem, telling Ain straight what his feelings are in a way that makes Wolfwood actually feel like he might have a hard time following this up. Like holy shit, he didn’t know Add had it in him. He feels some of his hurt soothed by the fact Add goes out of his way to apologize again when he doesn’t really need to- at least not to him- since they already got their grievances out of the way the night prior. He was already getting inklings of it then, but he really sees it now.
Add isn’t a bad person. He never genuinely thought he was, but the initial impression wasn’t good. Add made himself out to be egotistical, self centered, cruel, and aggressive. He seemed to not care about not just others’ feelings, but how he was being perceived by people as well. In reality, it was all to compensate for his own lack of self worth, and boy if he doesn’t know how that feels. He and Add are a lot more alike than he’d like to admit, even moreso than either of them yet realize.
He swallows thickly, his mouth suddenly dry. Part of him wants to give Ain a moment to take all of that in, but at the same time he wants to say his piece too. So…once he’s sure Add has finished, Wolfwood takes his turn.]
I ain’t been a peach either. There’s tons of times when I could’ve just kept my mouth shut and minded my own business, but I just…needed to say something, ‘cause I felt like I had to defend myself as your boyfriend to Add. I’ve always felt like I’m not good enough for you, so it felt even more like I had somethin’ to prove. I was feelin’…protective, and had convinced myself that Add was just trying to hurt you. I should’ve known better. You’ve known each other for years longer than I have…I ain’t got the right to try to act like I know what that’s like.
[Wolfwood looks over at Add as well, his tail curling around one of his ankles.]
Pickin’ fights, gettin’ in stupid dick-measuring contests…all it’s done is hurt you both, and I’m sorry too.
[Then, he looks back to Ain.]
All I’ve done is hurt you, over and over. And bein’ the kinda person I am, I can’t promise I won’t hurt you again someday. But…I wanna do better, too. I’ve tried to keep things from you because I was worried that if you knew how bad things were, you’d just be more upset. The last thing I want is to see you even more upset…but I didn’t realize it was just makin’ everything worse.
[Well! That's a whole lot of apologies. And here Ain simply thought they'd both say "sorry" and leave it at that, but no, they're both being genuine! Ain doesn't particularly remember either of them being very good at this, so that's surprising. He vaguely wonders if Mizuki thought to give the boys therapy after he stormed out, but shelves the thought for now.
At the very least, this level of apologising does get him to look up from his work and pause the careful stitching, letting the chiffon rest in a messy bundle in his lap for the time being. He considers each word strongly, eventually inclining his head forward in a nod of acknowledgement.
Okay, so far so good. Ain breathes something of a sigh, offering up a sheepish and slightly bitter smile.]
I don't care if you two spar. Or if you decide you don't like each other, or can't stand to be in the same room, or need to make comments to each other across the room. What has me pissed off is the fact that neither of you would tell me what the issue was while brushing me off, saying it's "fine" and not to worry. Like I said, we've never had fights like that in the El Search Party, so that was alarming to me... and even Mr. Demon isn't that aggressive with you. [Pointing to Wolfwood.] I hope you both understand why I couldn't just assume it was fine and continue to be brushed off, especially when I've asked you to quit in my presence multiple times, and neither of you man up enough to listen.
[He leans back in his chair now, the legs squeaking with protest.]
And I didn't mean to cry in the meeting. Or raise my voice, really, or put anyone on the spot. Actually, I was pretty worried when I left that someone would try to confront you guys about it, and I would've been madder... [He laughs, forced but soft, and definitely at his own expense.] I think most of the problem is that I care too much for both of you, and it's really difficult to see you guys at each other's throats.
[And with that all being said...]
Add, it's not about "deserving" to be here or not. But if it helps, I didn't ever think you were undeserving of it, even though I was angry with you. I wouldn't give you chances or continue to ask you to do things with me if I ever thought that, nor would I have laid on you at the movie, or keep trying to get you to move into the bakery. Actually, I've been pretty forceful and overprotective of you too, because I know how mouthy you get, and I really just wanted people to acknowledge you as someone good and worth being around despite it. If we're going to be stuck here, we might as well not make ourselves miserable, right? ...and I'd never get bored of you. Why do you think I bug you so much?
Nick, despite the way we argue sometimes, I never claimed to think you're not good enough for me. I'm pretty content with most things. My only asks of you were to treat me like I matter as much as the others, and we agreed that if we had concerns in the past, we'd talk about them and listen to each other. [And look what you did not do Wolfwood—] I need you to trust that I'm making good decisions. You already knew how much Add meant to me from the memories you saw anyway. Just don't try to control my decisions again and let me talk out my problems, and we'll be fine, okay?
[He's quiet while Wolfwood takes his turn, watching for Ain's reaction but quick to look aside if he happens to look Add's way. This is... hard. He's still not sure how well this is going to be received... if Ain still doesn't want to talk to them again, he couldn't blame him. They've had so many chances already.
And he's also caught off guard by Wolfwood re-apologizing to him, but he did do it first, so... it's important to reciprocate the sentiment, or it might come off as forced or one sided. This is a valid tactical move. He looks away from him, too, trying not to show his embarrassment.
The bottom line is, they're both sorry and understand they fucked up. That's what they need to communicate first, before they can tackle all of the rest.
He's braced for another cold response, but Ain... is warmer, if still brutally honest. He can relax a touch when Ain doesn't flat out reject them both, anyway. Ain still cares, and worries, and wants to spend time with them both, even though they kept brushing off his concerns and hiding the truth...
and that's the next issue on the agenda. The truth.
This is... the part that worries him the most. That surge of confidence of from before feels like it's already run dry, but Add still has no choice but to swallow his fears and press on.]
... It wasn't a big deal, so the first time wasn't worth mentioning. I didn't like his attitude and I wanted to hit something, so I pushed him around a bit. And then he pulled out a gun, so I thought, what the hell, weapons are fair game? It was a low-power output, but I did shock him a little... but that's all that happened. We were already in the clinic so it was taken care of immediately. I just wanted to scare him a bit, not cause an injury. [hell of a way to say he started a brawl in the middle of the clinic tho]
And... incident at the prison... [and now his confidence is really wavering, dynamos fidgeting behind his back. He Cannot look Ain in the eyes.] Well, he was arrested, so I followed the same procedures I used for everyone else... there was a sequence of puzzles designed to lead to an escape feature. The original prison design favoured brute force escape attempts too strongly and the design overall was poor, so I wanted to give favour to more intelligent escape tactics while improving the average length of the successful containment period. After putting forth my improvements there was a 400% increase in the average containment length, so I spent some time perfecting the formula through trial and error... but I had to wait for people to break the law, so there was a lot of downtime between trials. Access to police barracks was readily available, so I started experimenting with this world's weapons technology. Also, there was a lack of consequence in the cells for just blindly pulling at everything available, so I thought it'd be more effective to have a universal threat to dissuade overly broad efforts, but most people either followed instructions or corrected their behaviour immediately after activating one of the weapon features. Each weapon was tested individually but I failed to consider the effects on the chamber caused by the weapons themselves. I've already implemented new safety features since then, such an emergency shut down protocol [yeah his ass is NOT going to stop rambling, he just keeps talking faster and faster like he's lost control of his own train of thought]
[Ain’s measured, if brutally honest, response is a relief to them both, it seems. Wolfwood too wouldn’t have blamed him if he just said “apology not accepted” and kicked them both out, but…he knows Ain better than that. He’s not that type of person. He wouldn’t still care about them like he does if he wasn’t willing to listen to what they had to say in the first place. He could have very easily just sent DNIs to them both and had that be that. Granted, all of the sorries in the world still feel like they won’t make up for the kind of shitty boyfriend he’s been. It feels like he takes one step forwards and then five hundred back. But…his own personal failings are something to bring up in therapy next, not here.
At first, Wolfwood is pretty damn proud of Add for actually sticking to his guns and telling Ain the truth about the various scuffles they’d had. He would have been happy to initiate, but Add brings it up first, so he’ll stand back and let him talk. It starts off…fine, until Add starts to go completely off the rails. It goes from “mmm okay” to “oh god” REAL fucking quick.
Like, on one hand, he’s glad he didn’t just blurt “I almost killed your boyfriend”, but at the same time, leading with “an incident” and then going on a ten minute long diatribe about the mechanics of the prison is making it worse. All Ain needs to know is what happened, bare bones and all that, these added details and fluff are just going to needlessly confuse him. And…he’s starting to see that Add is just going to keep going if he doesn’t step in, so.
He moves off the wall, quite literally stepping in to rescue Add who is floundering, interjecting before he can ramble any further.]
Bottom line is…the cells were rigged with all sorts of mechanics and anti-escape measures n’shit. Like more high tech than just a cage with bars. Barriers, guns, the works. I was supposed to just solve some puzzles to get out, but I didn’t understand them and it was making me mad, so I kept trying to brute force my way out. Add demonstrated then how the bars were impenetrable, which led to all of the parts malfunctionin’ at once.
It was a complete accident- [He stresses.] -but the cell I was in exploded. I had my vials on me, so I was okay, but…that’s what happened.
[Ain just... sighs so loud and leans forward to bonk his head against his desk, laying against it with his arms over his head. He's still holding the chiffon as he does this.]
I leave you guys alone for five minutes.
[At least he's not... screaming at them to get out?]
[And he sits up properly, sighing for the second time. You guys.]
Why can't you guys have normal fights like Nikolaus and Mr. Demon do? No electricity, no guns, no exploding prison cells, no puzzles.
[Ugh, his head hurts all of a sudden.]
I'm glad you're both fine... I wish you'd just tell me when you do stupid shit so I can heal you, or help you out of your own idiocy, but here we are I guess.
[He can't help but make a face at being interrupted, but he is really, TRULY thankful for the save, he was NOT digging his way back out of that one.
He's still braced for impact until Ain sighs, sighs again, and makes the impossible request of "be normal". The tension is diffused, but he still groans back on reflex.] Ugh, you know that's not fair. Do you really want a repeat of that time I tried to arm wrestle Elesis?
[She nearly broken his hand and then laughed it off like "wow, I thought you'd be stronger so I didn't hold back!" He knows what he's capable of, he's not ashamed of relying on his machines.]
... guess I should've relied on you more, too. Next time— [wait] I mean, there won't be a next time for that, but— If there's trouble, you'll be the first to know. Even if it's not about healing.
No more hiding shit from each other. [*in the Grove]
[Oh my god the relief he feels when Ain doesn’t get SUPER UPSET with them…he wasn’t sure how he’d react, honestly, but he’s thankful it went as well as it could have, and he will be thankful from now on that they just told him instead of. Not.
He does shake his head a little when the mention of fighting “normally” comes up.]
I like sparrin’ as much as the next guy, but I don’t want it to be unfair. I…really don’t mind if you use your lil Dynamite guys or whatever- [Close but no]- I just want it to be fair.
[That was mainly the issue he had the entire time. Add always had an unfair advantage against Wolfwood, the same as Wolfwood would have if Add wasn’t allowed to use Dynamo or his electricity or anything.]
And…I still wanna do that shootin’ contest. But like, just as a friendly competition, or whatever. I got a reputation to uphold.
[But he’s getting off topic. He looks back over to Ain.]
But that’s everythin’. There’s nothin’ more for us to tell…and if anythin’ else comes up, we’ll tell you. Just…trust us. And give us a chance…if you can.
Mmmm... okay, I forgive you both, but only because you spilled your hearts out to me and apparently made up while I was gone. You're doing better than I thought~.
[He will go back to sewing his stupid little pants now.]
Just don't shoot each other when you do your contest. Oh, and I want to learn how to use a gun next~. [NO] Mr. Half-Demon never lets me try.
[THAT'S BECAUSE YOU CAN'T BE TRUSTED WITH A GUN AIN]
But yes, I agree. No more hiding anything. Haha... you basically know all my secrets anyway, before the rest of the party will. Now you can tell them all that my mom is God~.
[He doesn't bother correcting it, but the dynamos themselves jitter and spark a bit at dynamite. Not what they're called!!]
Yeah? Well, we'll see how far we can get before you write off the results as "cheating". You haven't even seen me fight yet, but long-range attacks on moving targets are well within my capabilities. [He's going to abuse the hell out of homing attacks, but he has no idea yet just how good Wolfwood actually is.
Wolfwood can be the one to tell him he can't have a fucking gun, though. He shoots the other man a Look but surely he should already know this is a bad idea. Do not give the angel a gun.]
Kinda have to wonder how no one figured it out when you've got "Ishmael" right in your name. Not exactly what I'd call discreet. [but it is kind of a jump to guess that the weird priest you're travelling with is a literal angel...
Anyway! Guess that's it! No further topics to discuss! They can all laugh and move on and go back to doing whatever!]
[Wolfwood’s shoulders visibly sag with relief. Thank God…Ain forgives them. By some stroke of a miracle, they’ve managed to get back out of this without losing Ain forever. Maybe it was never that dire, but he wasn’t about to take any chances. He sighs through his nose and rubs a hand down his face, smudging his fingers over his mouth, as he looks between Add and Ain. He remembers vividly how torn up Add was last night, agonizing over the fact that Ain might just not want him anymore if he learned the truth about what happened at the prison, and…let’s be real here, no normal person has that violent of an anxious response over “just a friend”. But even beyond that, Wolfwood knows…he knows because he’s been in that same position before.
But first:]
You ain’t usin’ a gun, Ain. Maybe if you can learn to drive, first.
[He lets the cheating comment go past him, ignoring it entirely in favor of thinking about something else as Add mentions the Ishmael thing, putting the conversation topic solidly between the two. It’s as good a opportunity as any, and if he can manage to give Add some sort of out regardless, then it will work out either way.
Wolfwood sighs again, stretching an arm over his head before rummaging in his pocket for a sucker to pop into his mouth. He’ll pull out three, actually, offering one to Ain, and once he inevitably takes it…he’ll walk the third over to Add. It’s easier if he just takes it, but if he doesn’t, he’ll push it into Add’s palm and use that brief contact to lean in with his head turned to mutter in Add’s ear:]
Go on. Tell ‘im.
[Before he pulls away again, moving to stand back by the wall like nothing happened to give his leg a break. He could leave and excuse himself for a smoke, but he knows Add will chicken out if he does that. So…]
‘Scuse my manners. Didn’t mean’ta speak for you, sayin’ we were done. Was there anythin’ else you wanted to say, Add…?
Ugh, but that's not fair, the cars in Neo Eden are so hard to steer and control... Guns are easier because you just hold them, I think?
[Candy... Ain is going to cram that lollipop directly into his mouth thank you very much, and he will swap it from side to side occasionally as he works. It's not that he's expecting them both to leave after the discussion, since all seems good, but he is about to joke with Add that "maybe his last name is because all priests just name themselves like that" (they do not) (he would not know one way or the other)...
But Wolfwood seems to want to continue the discussion, so Ain looks up again, looking particularly goofy with this lollipop crammed off to one side of his mouth.
God please tell him Add's not about to be like "btw I nearly killed another boyfriend".]
[With the stressful part over, Add is finally starting to relax. Talking like this, it's like none of the events of the past few days even happened... but it's because of those difficult events that they were all able to move forward and become closer. Before, he would've been on edge just having Wolfwood in the room with them, but now...
Now, he's almost... glad? He never really thought about it, but he kind of prefers hanging out in a group where he can take a step back sometimes without worrying about being boring or awkward. That's almost certainly because of the El Search Party, but it's nice to have someone else he's comfortable talking with here. He already said all that embarrassing shit to Wolfwood, so it's not like he could embarrass himself any more.
And when the guy takes a second to offer him a candy... he scoffs, acting indifferent, but he's never been a very good actor.
He's not prepared for what comes next, though.
Go on. Tell him.
Add freezes up, his dynamos also going stock-still in midair. He's still holding the sucker tightly in his hand, staring straight ahead with that blank, seemingly annoyed, actually bewildered look on his face. Oh god. Does he have to do this now? Wouldn't it be better to do this later, when Ain isn't fresh off all these other confessions and apologies?!
... or. or is this the best time for it? While he's already happy with everything else... if Add waits too long, and he decides to just get over the rejection from before...
but there's a big difference between deciding it's a good time and actually knowing what the hell to say. He did not adequately prepare for this. If he says it bad, won't that fuck everything up? But Wolfwood already put him on the spot, he knows what Add is supposed to be saying here, he can't just chicken out—
The awkward silence stretches on just a little too long, but... Add clears his throat, still not quite meeting Ain's eyes. Just... give it your best shot, Add. You made it this far! Just say how you feel!!]
I... a-about what I said before...
I may have... made an incorrect assumption, based on incomplete data, s-so... maybe, we could... try another date?
[he's mumbling so bad it's 50/50 if Ain can even hear all that, help, he's going to pass out if his face gets any more red]
[wouldn't it be funny if dachie barked over that and ain had to ask add to repeat himself
He does have to fully stop what he's doing and look up at Add and squint in an attempt to both read his lips and hear him at the end there. A strong breeze blowing outside could've easily made the building creak enough to where Ain wouldn't have heard, and then where would they be? He might not have gotten a second attempt at that!
There's the instinct to tease Add first about his muttering anyway, a very self-satisfied "I knew you weren't heterosexual you fucking liar" kind of smirk pulling at his lips, but the surprise of the admission has him jittery enough to where, when he tries to set his work down, he jabs his finger with the sewing needle.]
Ow— fuck—
[They can both be stupid, maybe,
A quick heal before he bleeds on the fabric is all he needs before he's wholesale putting that down. Let's not stab ourself again, shall we?]
Aha, wait, really? You actually want to? [It's a slow start, but his dragon tail does begin thumping the wooden floors, before it picks up the pace the longer he talks. A steady brbrbrbrbrbr that gets worse every passing second. This is what Dachie chooses to bark at.] Just you and me, right? Oh, wait, but you should establish boundaries now because I can get pretty touchy, and I don't want to be too forceful with you since you're new to this. I will just kind of kiss you on the mouth if you don't stop me in advance~.
[See, Add? What’d he tell you? Seeing Ain’s immediate excited puppy response is all you really need. As if he didn’t admit to loving him in the meeting, but you know. These sorts of things are worth their weight in gold, he feels.
He sighs, once again relieved as he leans against the wall and pulls his sucker from his mouth, glancing at the reflective blue surface as he stays quiet to give the two the opportunity to have their moment. Part of him wonders if he should leave, actually, but he doesn’t want to turn attention to himself by doing that.
So, instead, he decides to stoop down and offer Dachie a piece of a sugar cube from his pocket that he keeps to feed the barn animals when he checks on the chicks so he’ll stop barking while they’re trying to talk.]
[Add continues to stare as Ain babbles back, watching that tail thump thump thump on the floor like he's worried it might break something. But at this point, his brain has fully overheated and he is no longer in control of his own words. Brain-to-mouth filter has suffered a critical error, please reboot and try again later.]
[Ain also has to put the candy aside, re-wrapping it and setting it on a clean corner of his desk. (And thankfully, as soon as Dachie is given food, he shuts up and stops his howling).]
Ohh, well, I don't think I need practice... I'm worried that I might kiss you so good that it breaks your brain a little more than it's already broken~.
[Confident today, aren't we?
Anyway, Ain's not allowed to have too much rizz because the cosmic forces of the universe see fit to make him trip over the corner of his table for the second time today as he gets up. Okay, so they're both nervous, whatever. They're like stupid teenagers in love over here.
By some stupid miracle, Ain stumbles into a stop directly in front of Add without further tripping or otherwise making an ass of himself.]
Just shock me if you don't like it, okay?
[Luckily for Add's sanity, the angel does not immediately go for something too raunchy here, but he is going to put his hands on Add's hips of all goddamn places, lean in, and give him zero warning before he's pressed their lips together in a chaste but lingering kiss.
Sorry he's wanted this for years now, you deal with him now. (Y'all Wolfwood is standing there still.)]
[Not even the cosmic forces holding back Ain's rizz can ruin this for them since Add is so laser-focused on Ain coming up to him, Ain putting his gay little twink hands on his hips, Ain leaning in to a plant a romantic male-on-male kiss directly on his lips—
Ah.
The lipgloss is different, but it's still lychee flavoured. He must really like lychee.
He's getting a lot of useful data from this.
... unfortunately, Ain is still going to get shocked out of nowhere. Not in a painful way, but. Emotional highs tend to have that effect on Add and Dynamo. He has just enough functional brain power to consider this, though, so he's quick to grab Ain by the wrist should he start to pull away too soon.
He stares into Ain's eyes for a moment, still looking hopelessly lost and warm and maybe a little scared again, also he might be one wrong answer away from crying]
I'm going to shock you and you're going to have to like it. Okay?

Yeah, I know.
[Seeing their nicknames again is salt in the wound. It makes Wolfwood’s confidence flag, if only briefly, wondering if this is salvageable at ALL…
But then he takes a breath, steels himself, and walks forward to knock on the door before moving back to stand beside Add again.]

Haha. This had better be an emergency~.
no subject
In a weird way, Wolfwood's presence is... comforting. They're both in this mess together. If Add tries to run, he'll no doubt drag him back. It helps a little to keep him grounded, both literally and figuratively.
He still flinches when Ain gives him that icy look, though.
Don't lose your nerve now. Add takes a breath, standing up straight.]
... We came here to apologize. We sorted out our differences, and... there's some things we need to talk about, so...
no subject
He’s right. Will you hear us out?
no subject
Fine.
But if either of you start going at each other in my shop, I will kick you out, and that'll be the end of it.
no subject
I want to do better for you.
no subject
M’sorry, Ain.
no subject
Just don't try to control my decisions again and let me talk out my problems, and we'll be fine, okay?
no subject

1/2
2/3 I lied actually
I leave you guys alone for five minutes.
[At least he's not... screaming at them to get out?]
3/3 okay im done
Why can't you guys have normal fights like Nikolaus and Mr. Demon do? No electricity, no guns, no exploding prison cells, no puzzles.
[Ugh, his head hurts all of a sudden.]
I'm glad you're both fine... I wish you'd just tell me when you do stupid shit so I can heal you, or help you out of your own idiocy, but here we are I guess.
no subject
[*in the Grove]
no subject
And give us a chance…if you can.
no subject
[He will go back to sewing his stupid little pants now.]
Just don't shoot each other when you do your contest. Oh, and I want to learn how to use a gun next~. [NO] Mr. Half-Demon never lets me try.
[THAT'S BECAUSE YOU CAN'T BE TRUSTED WITH A GUN AIN]
But yes, I agree. No more hiding anything. Haha... you basically know all my secrets anyway, before the rest of the party will. Now you can tell them all that my mom is God~.
no subject
They can all laugh and move on and go back to doing whatever!]
no subject
Was there anythin’ else you wanted to say, Add…?
no subject
God please tell him Add's not about to be like "btw I nearly killed another boyfriend".]
no subject
[he's mumbling so bad it's 50/50 if Ain can even hear all that, help, he's going to pass out if his face gets any more red]
no subject
[Now it's Ain's turn to nervous babble—]
no subject
He sighs, once again relieved as he leans against the wall and pulls his sucker from his mouth, glancing at the reflective blue surface as he stays quiet to give the two the opportunity to have their moment. Part of him wonders if he should leave, actually, but he doesn’t want to turn attention to himself by doing that.
So, instead, he decides to stoop down and offer Dachie a piece of a sugar cube from his pocket that he keeps to feed the barn animals when he checks on the chicks so he’ll stop barking while they’re trying to talk.]
no subject
We could practise first. If you want.
no subject
(Y'all Wolfwood is standing there still.)]
no subject
Okay?
That's... that's fine, right?
(no subject)
cw: the boys are kissing i guess this shouldve been up there earlier but yknow. the gays.
